Our emergency department complex is a 20-bedded state-of-the-art facility with a dedicated triage area, decontamination bay, patient lobby, minor procedure rooms. Paediatric emergencies have been developed as a subspecialty meeting the extra demands of paediatric emergency needs. The department is manned by well trained emergency medicine consultants, specialists and nursing staff. Evidence-based medicine is practiced as the basis of treatment and care in this facility, along with incorporating the latest developments in medicine.
The department of critical care medicine at SNHRC super speciality hospital has 17 beds in medical ICU and 5 Neuro ICU beds, 6surgical ICU, 10 HDU and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is dedicated to provide critical care services round the clock by a highly trained team of intensivists and nursing staff. Required inputs are taken from various super-specialities in managing patients. Critical care includes the provision of organ system support, diagnosis, treatment of acute illness, patient safety, ethics, end-of-life care, and support of families. The plan of care for the patient is prepared in consensus with the doctors, the patient and the family.
